Privacy policy
How Permit Leads handles website, subscriber, and public permit information. Effective October 15, 2026.
Information we collect
We may collect information you provide during checkout or support, such as your name, business email, selected ZIP, and trade. Stripe processes payment details; Permit Leads does not store complete card numbers.
Public permit data
The service processes permit records published by municipal sources. These may include project addresses, descriptions, permit identifiers, valuations, and contractor information where publicly provided.
How information is used
We use information to provide and improve the service, enforce territory exclusivity, deliver digests, process billing, respond to support, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Member preferences and alerts
We store your alert schedule, timezone, territory and valuation filters, delivery choices, and delivery history. If you enable webhooks, we store your endpoint and signing key so we can send signed permit alerts to the destination you choose. Your receiving service will receive the matching permit data. Sign-in uses private email links and an account session cookie. You can change preferences or pause future alerts in your member account; pausing alerts does not cancel billing.
Service providers
We use service providers for payment processing, infrastructure, email delivery, and operational monitoring. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention and choices
We retain account and transaction records as needed to operate the service and comply with law. You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible personal information by emailing [email protected].
Public owner names and removal requests
Subscriber exports may include owner and contractor names and parcel identifiers published by municipal sources. We do not supply phone numbers or re-identify explicitly redacted owner fields. Request a correction or removal review at [email protected], with the source city and permit number. We review requests and applicable source redactions; removal from Permit Leads does not change municipal records.
Security and changes
We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Material policy changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
